Welcome!

The OCD Centre helps people suffering from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) to reduce and control their compulsion through Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), primarily through exposure to response prevention.

Central location

The OCD Centre is a care facility located in central Uppsala, Sweden. Our city location allows easy access to transport, services, and activities and our calm and cosy garden alongside Stadsskogen provides access to jogging and walking trails.

Competence

Our Treatment Coordinators have Stage 1 qualifications in CBT and our treatment staff receive on-going training and coaching from our Treatment Director Sandra Bates, an experienced psychotherapist who specialises in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

A Holistic Approach

While intensive treatment is administered at the OCD Centre, including training in new patterns of behaviour, the sufferer practices the skills they have acquired for managing their compulsion in their own home. We employ re-integration and follow-up phases in which we collaborate with the patient’s local health care service. We also provide relatives and social contacts affected by the sufferer’s disorder with information about their condition and advice about how they can be of assistance.
